2. Dairy Products

We all have at least one dairy product in our fridge, these can be milk, cheese, butter or cream. Once opened, these usually survive in the fridge for a week before it goes bad and seriously funks up the smell of your fridge. Soft cheese stay good for only 1 to 2 weeks in the fridge once it’s opened, after that it becomes a breeding ground for molds. Hard cheese can stay in the fridge for up to 6 months because they have less moisture than soft cheese, but more than that it also becomes a breeding ground for mold. Fresh milk is only good for a week in the fridge after it’s opened, so if you like your milk fresh, consume it all before the week is up! Butter only lasts in the fridge for about a month, which is how long it expires anyway, but after that, it needs to be thrown away. It’s time to check your dairy products for their expiration dates and make sure your dairy products are not expired and if they are, there is no sense in keeping it in your fridge! To save you from throwing out dairy products and wasting food, pay attention to the expiration date before you buy it.
