3. Left Overs
We all have this in the fridge for sure! After all it can be tempting to keep left over food because you don’t want to be throwing them right away. You always think that it can always be saved and even eaten for later. But according to a study done on food borne illnesses, food stored in the fridge should not exceed 4 days, after that you can bet you’ll get sick from eating it, even if it tastes okay or doesn’t look stale yet. Also, there is no point in saving left overs that have been exposed in room temperature for 2 hours already because by then it has already had time to harbor bacteria that can only grow while in the fridge! Some bacteria does have this habit of thriving in the cold, so, toss those left overs that have been there for more than 3 days! If you do want to keep left overs, make sure they don’t exceed 4 days and transfer them into a sealed container.
