Any type of deep-sea fish contains mercury, a heavy metal that’s toxic to the health. Unfortunately, sushi served in most restaurants contains dangerous levels of this heavy metal. Signs and symptoms of mercury poisoning include high blood pressure, vomiting, extreme fatigue, and hair loss. Tuna is so dangerous that pregnant women and small children are advised against eating it.
