4 Relaxing Detox Bath Recipes

There is no perfect way to end a tiring day than a warm bath. But if you want to cleanse the system and detoxify the body, have a detox bath instead. A regular detox bath is an excellent treatment for skin issues and eliminates toxic buildup. And you don’t have to go to a local spa for a relaxing detox bath. In today’s post, we are listing down great detox bath recipes to try:

1. Himalayan Salt Detox Bath

This detox bath will soothe dry, irritated skin, improves organ functions and boosts magnesium levels in the body.

¼ cup Himalayan sea salt
¼ cup Epsom salt
¼ cup baking soda
1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
Your favorite essential oil

Directions:

In a large bowl, dissolve salt, Epsom salt, and baking soda in boiling water then set aside. Now fill the tub with hot or warm. Add Apple Cider vinegar to the bath water then pour in the dissolved salt and baking soda mixture. Finish up by adding about 10 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Now soak in the bath for at least 30 minutes.

2. Clay Detox Bath Recipe

This detox bath recipe will draw out heavy metals and other toxins from the skin. The Epsom salt will replenish the body’s magnesium level.

½ cup bentonite clay
½ cup Epsom salt
Your favorite essential oils

Directions:

In a small ceramic bowl, mix bentonite clay with a small amount of water until smooth. Do not use a metal bowl or utensils to mix the clay. Now draw yourself a bath, then dissolve the Epsom salt and the essential oils. Add the clay mix into the bath water. Now soak in the bath for at least 30 minutes.

To draw out toxins, you can also create the clay mix but apply it directly on the skin before soaking in the bath water. This method will effectively draw the toxins out from the skin. Let the clay paste remain on the skin for at least 20 minutes. Then while you soak, scrub the remaining clay off the skin.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Bath

This detox bath recipe will soothe inflamed skin. It also minimizes breakouts and restores youthfulness. This detox bath recipe also draws out heavy metals from the skin.

1 to 2 cups of raw or organic Apple cider vinegar
your favorite essential oils

Directions:

Draw yourself a bath using warm water. Add the raw apple cider vinegar then finish up with 10 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oils. Soak for at least 30 minutes or until you’ve sweat out all the toxins.

4. Ginger Detox Bath

Ginger contains powerful antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. It will draw out toxins from the body, boost energy and prevents all types of infections.

½ cup freshly grated ginger
½ cup of honey
½ cup Epsom salt

Directions:

Draw yourself a warm bath then add the grated ginger, honey, and Epsom salt. If you don’t have fresh ginger, use a tablespoon of ginger powder instead. Now soak in the mixture for at least 15 minutes. Make sure to drink plenty of water after the detox bath.
