You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on expensive skin care products or facial treatments to achieve smooth, silky skin! In today’s post, we are giving you proven tips that will bring back life to lackluster skin and minimize wrinkles:
1. Coffee Grounds as Exfoliator
Don’t throw used coffee grounds in the trash just yet. Collect the coffee grounds and use it to exfoliate the skin! Coffee grounds will slough off dead skin cells. It also contains caffeine that tightens the skin and shrink the pores! Just get a handful of coffee grounds and start scrubbing. If you have dry skin, mix coffee grounds with 2 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil. Rinse it all off and say hello to gorgeous skin!
2. Wash and Sterilize Your Makeup Tools
Are your makeup brushes sitting unwashed on your vanity for two weeks? That’s a complete no-no. Dirty makeup tools could become a cesspool of bacteria real quick. And when you use it, the organisms will wreak havoc on the skin. Dirty makeup tools could lead to clogged pores, cystic acne, and nasty breakouts. We recommend spot cleaning your brushes every time you use it. Then, deep clean them once a week with an antibacterial soap or dishwashing liquid.

3. Fruit and Vegetable Peels
No, we don’t mean skin peeling, we meant all natural fruits and vegetable peels to treat irritated, inflamed skin! The inner part of banana peel, in particular will improve the skin’s texture. Rub the peel on the skin for at least 15 minutes, rinse it off and you get beautifully clear and smooth skin. The same thing goes for potato peels, orange or grapefruit peels or pineapple peels. Potato peels will minimize puffiness while orange or grapefruit peels will even out the skin tone. Pineapple peels will restore radiance to lackluster skin!
4. A 10 Minute Facial Massage
Treat yourself to a 10-minute facial massage every night and wake up to youthful skin! Massaging the skin improves circulation. It will also loosen muscles locked in habitual wrinkles. Massaging the skin also helps products to sink into the skin. This means, your skin care products will absorb better if you massage them instead of simply slathering on the skin. Always massage the skin in an upward motion. Use moisturizer or beauty oil to lubricate the fingers. Focus on areas prone to wrinkles: forehead, eyes and sides of the mouth. Don’t forget to massage the neck too!
5. 5-Minute Face Steam
Want to eliminate blackheads and clear clogged pores? Try a five-minute face steam. It will boost circulation, open up the pores and eliminate pesky black and whiteheads! A face steam will also refine the texture of the skin, leading to a radiant, finer skin.
To do your own face steam, boil a pot of water. Get a basin and pour the water. Cover your head with a towel, bend over and cover your head like a tent. Hold this position for at least 5 minutes. Then, with a soft muslin cloth, gently scrub problematic areas of the face. Don’t over-scrub though. Finally, rinse your face with cool water. Pat dry then finish off with a beauty oil or a good moisturizer.
