The human body is teeming with millions of microbes including yeast, harmful and beneficial bacteria and yes, even worms. Unfortunately, no one is immune to parasites. The food you eat, your lifestyle and certain drugs could trigger a parasitic infestation. Parasites are very hard to detect, so most individuals are unaware of the problem. The long-term effect of parasites is the development of various chronic diseases.

If you suspect that you are dealing with a parasite infestation, deal with the problem promptly. You can do that through a parasite cleanse. There are many ways to detoxify the body of parasites, but the base idea is the same: starve the parasites of food to flush them out your system. Before going through a parasite cleanse, check for symptoms of parasitic infestation:

Symptoms of Parasitic Infestation

The most common signs of a parasitic overgrowth include inexplicable abdominal pains, chronic fatigue, and excess gas. Bloody stools and mucus (dysentery), unexplained groin rashes, and nausea are tell-tale signs of parasitic infestation too. Other symptoms are: rapid weight loss, diarrhea, and lack of energy.

Ways to Perform Parasitic Cleanse

To flush out the parasites, you have to remove their food source. You can do this by eating foods that kill parasites or going on a fast. You can also expel parasites by eating fiber-rich foods.

Minimize Processed Foods

Start by reducing your intake of processed foods. Processed foods contain compounds that parasites feed on. As they feed on excess sugars and preservatives, the parasites multiply by the millions in your intestines. By reducing excess sugar from the body, the parasites start growing weaker. When they are weak, they can’t reproduce. Eventually, they either die or be forced to leave the body.

Consuming Anti-Parasitic Foods

Green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, garlic and ginger, all these will kill a number of gastrointestinal parasites. The same thing goes for hot peppers, cucumbers, and pumpkin seeds. These foods create an environment that’s not conducive for breeding. Regular consumption of these foods will cleanse the stomach and intestines of parasites.

Green Juice Fasting

Here’s another way to eliminate parasites: going on a green juice fast. Green juice contains very little sugar and preservatives. When you go on a green juice fast, you literally cut the parasites off their food source.

Green juice flushes out toxins in the intestines too. The juice is packed with essential nutrients that strengthen the immune system. A strong immune system is important in preventing any type of infestation. We recommend green juice spiked with lemons, gingers, cucumbers and broccoli. Add garlic and onions for extra potency!

Laxative Tea

In conjunction to a green juice fast, take teas with mild laxative effects. Green juice is stripped of fiber from the vegetables. Dead or dying parasites are expelled from the body in a single way: through bowel movement. And you can’t flush them out if you don’t eat fibrous foods. Taking teas with mild laxative effects will flush out these pesky parasites from the body! We recommend taking psyllium and Triphala tea.
