The skin is one of the largest organs in the body. That’s why it is critical to care for your skin to keep it younger looking and glowing. The good news is, you do not have to spend a small fortune on skin care products to achieve beautiful skin. In today’s post, we are dishing out practical and effective hacks for gorgeous skin all over:
De-Puff the Eyes
Puffy eyes can make you look tired or sleepy. Wake those peepers up by placing a cold spoon over the lids. Stick a spoon in the fridge the night before, and then apply it to puffy eyes in the morning. The coldness of the spoon will reduce puffiness, redness, and inflammation. Follow up by drinking a lot of water throughout the day.
You can also use tea bags or cool cucumbers to de-puff the eyes. The caffeine in the tea will constrict the blood vessels. The nourishing vitamins in cucumber soothe redness and skin irritation.

Dry Pimples and Prevent Future Breakouts
If you are looking for a milder alternative to toners and anti-acne products, consider using witch hazel. Witch hazel is a gentle toner that dries pimples fast. It soothes irritation, eases redness, and protects from future breakouts. You can also use witch hazel as a spot treatment, an antimicrobial rub, and a natural deodorant!
Treating Skin Irritation and Psoriasis
If you suffer from eczema or psoriasis, we recommend a regular soak with Epsom salt or baking soda. Both remedies will calm irritated skin, soothe inflammation, and flush out toxins from the skin. Just add a cup of Epsom salt or baking soda to your warm bath water and take a relaxing, 20-minute soak. Pat the skin dry and follow up with a mild moisturizer for best results.
For Sun-Damaged Skin
Did your last tanning session leave your skin burnt to a crisp? Instead of using a lotion or cream, slather fresh aloe vera gel! Aloe vera gel is loaded with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents that soothe the skin and promote repair. Aloe vera reduces acne breakouts, heals sunburned skin and scars of all kinds. Just split a stem of aloe vera and spoon the gel out. For best results, stick the gel in the fridge for an hour before applying on sunburned skin.
Hyperpigmentation
Dark under eyes, age spots, and uneven skin tone is caused by hyperpigmentation. You can even the skin tone and achieve perfect skin by using lemon extract + consuming foods rich in vitamin K. The fruit acids in lemon extract will fade out age spots, lighten blemishes, and dark under eyes. Lemon extract also brightens the complexion and boosts collagen deep in the dermis.
On the other hand, foods rich in vitamin K (plums, pears, kiwi, etc.) heal damaged arteries and capillaries in the skin around the eyes.
Delaying the Signs of Aging
One way to keep the skin wrinkle-free is to consume foods high in antioxidants and vitamin A, C, and E. These foods include green leafy vegetables, yellow-colored fruits, and veggies, as well as citrus fruits. Foods high in antioxidants and essential vitamins promote cell repair and boost collagen production. These nutrients work together to keep the skin plump, luminous, and glowing!
