DIY Treatments for Uplifted, Firm Skin

Sun damage, aging, and environmental stress contributes to saggy, wrinkled skin. Although there is no beauty product on earth that can truly banish wrinkles and eliminate sagginess, these DIY treatments and facial exercises are sure to take years off your face:

Face Massage

Massaging the facial skin helps boost blood flow, slough off dead skin cells, and rejuvenate the skin. Regular facial massage is proven effective in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and skin sagginess.

To achieve younger looking skin, put your fingers on your forehead and start brushing the skin from the middle out towards the temple. Then, massage the cheeks in a gentle, outward motion. Press the palms over the eyes, and go back to massaging the forehead. Do this massage 3 to 5 times a day for best results.

Cheek Exercise

Here’s a great trick to keep those cheeks sculpted, close your mouth gently and then pucker the lips as if you are giving a kiss. Pucker the lips as hard as you can until you feel the muscles in the mouth, cheek, and jaw area pulling. Hold this position for ten seconds, release and repeat 10 times.

Forehead Massage

Did you know that forehead wrinkles are some of the hardest wrinkles to smooth out without plastic surgery? The tension within the underlying muscle tissues causes unsightly lines on the forehead. And relaxing your face is not enough to avoid forehead wrinkles.

To smooth out forehead wrinkles, press your knuckles above the eyebrows for 5 to 10 seconds. Now, with your thumbs, rub the forehead gently in a circular motion. Use your fingertips to massage the forehead in an outward motion using light, gentle pressure.

Lemon and Yogurt Mask

This exfoliating mask will restore radiance and firm up sagging skin! In a bowl, mix a tablespoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir very well and apply on freshly cleansed face. Leave this clarifying mask on for 30 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water. Follow up with your favorite anti-aging moisturizer.

Blueberry and Raw Honey Mask

Honey and blueberries are packed with antioxidants that restore skin plumpness and suppleness. This vitamin C-rich mask will eliminate dead skin cells and restore skin luminosity too!

In a blender, add ¼ cup ripe blueberries and set aside. Apply a thin layer of raw honey on freshly cleansed face. Scoop out a small amount of the blueberry paste and apply on the face. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes then rinse with tepid water.

Egg White Face Mask

Egg whites will tighten and firm up the skin as well as shrink the pores. This mask will refine the skin, minimize the appearance of wrinkles, and control sebum!

In a bowl, mix egg whites with a teaspoon of vitamin E and a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the skin and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse with tepid water, pat dry, and apply your favorite anti-aging moisturizer on lightly damp skin!
