Turmeric is a peppery, bitter and warm flavor with a scent that resembles orange and ginger. It is a spice best used in cooking curry and is distinguished by its mustard bright yellow color. It came from the rot of curcuma longa plant and has a tough brown skin with dark orange colored flesh. It has been used as an anti-inflammatory in China and India in terms of medicine. Turmeric is traditionally called Indian saffron but because of the yellow-orange color, it has also been used in different items and healing remedies.

There are many ways that you can benefit from turmeric. If consumed regularly, you can benefit from its healing properties and might just prevent you from visiting your doctor’s office. Here are some of the best benefits that you can get from turmeric.
