There is nothing quite like all-natural, non-irritating ingredients to maintain a healthy, radiant complexion. Instead of using your store-bought foaming facial wash that’s teeming with chemicals, give these all-natural cleansers a try:

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is packed with beneficial fats that nourish the skin, delay the early signs of aging, and neutralize oxidative stress. This oil is naturally rich in antimicrobial agents that reduce pimple breakouts. Even better, coconut oil is very affordable. You can buy a large tub and it will last practically a lifetime.

Coconut oil is a versatile hard worker. You can use it as a makeup remover, as a soothing face cleanser, and as a moisturizer. Just apply a small amount of the oil on your face and massage it in for at least 30 seconds. Wipe with a muslin cloth or a clean towel to remove all trace of makeup, dirt, and grime.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The ideal pH of the skin is about 5.5. Maintaining the ideal pH of the skin is instrumental to perfect skin. Apple cider vinegar restores the skin’s natural pH level. It helps soothe pimple breakouts, unclog pores, heals abrasion or open wounds, and regulates sebum production. And just like coconut oil, apple cider vinegar is relatively affordable!

To use apple cider vinegar as a face cleanser, mix 1 part vinegar with 2 parts water in a spritz bottle. Shake very well. Now get a cotton ball or a cotton pad and saturate it with the solution. Wipe your face with the solution, wait for the skin to dry then follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

Honey and Lemon

Honey and lemon are a match made in heaven! They complement each other’s active ingredients, creating a soothing cleanser that evens out the skin tone, reduces acne flare-ups and restores luminosity. The citric acid in lemon kills acne-causing bacteria, melts dead skin cells, and boosts collagen production.

On the other hand, honey is packed with antibacterial agents that reduce skin irritation and inflammation. It is also loaded with antioxidants that neutralize oxidative stress. To use honey and lemon as a skin cleanser, just combine a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice with two teaspoons of honey. Mix well and apply on the face. Give yourself a mini-massage before rinsing with warm water.

Yogurt

Yogurt is an ideal face cleanser because it is naturally rich in lactic acid and proteins. Lactic acid sloughs off dead skin cells, regulates oil production and speeds up cell turnover. The proteins from yogurt tighten the pores, minimize fine lines, and boosts moisture.

To use yogurt as a natural face cleanser, spread about a tablespoon all over the face. Work the yogurt well into the skin by giving yourself a gentle five-minute massage. Then, rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is teeming with antioxidants and vitamins that nourish the skin, boost elasticity and soothe pimples. The beneficial fats in olive oil protect from oxidative stress, dryness, and uneven skin tone. To use olive oil as a facial cleanser, apply about a tablespoon of the oil on the face. Give yourself a 30-second massage and then wipe the face clean with a muslin cloth.
