Darjeeling tea is teeming with polyphenols that cut the risk of cancer. Polyphenols are antioxidants derived from plants. In a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, researchers discovered that black and green tea has anti-obesity effects in humans and lab animals alike. Although researchers were unable to pinpoint exactly how the anti-obesity effects were generated, they confirmed that tea helps burn off more stored fat and speeds up fat metabolism.
Reduces Gastric Ulcer

Studies show that Darjeeling tea helps soothe inflamed stomach lining and kill bacteria that aggravates the symptoms of gastric ulcer. In a study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, researchers discovered that Darjeeling tea effectively reduced the number of Helicobacter pylori in the gut. Helicobacter pylori are bacteria linked to stomach ulcer and gastric cancer.

Tea drinkers have about 3% denser bones than non-tea drinkers. The same study found that over the years, tea drinkers lose less bone density than non-tea drinkers. Researchers concluded that drinking black tea regularly helps strengthen the bones.
